Colorado business leaders are adding jobs, according to the Experience Factor Market Pulse survey results released today. Colorado business executives were polled on their business growth and whether they have been hiring throughout 2012, among other issues. This was a follow-up survey to one conducted early this year to gauge expectations for 2012.

The survey found 71 percent of respondents added staff in 2012. Forty-one percent added one to 10 new hires, while 14 percent added 51 plus new employees. Thirteen percent reported staff reductions, and another 13 percent reported no new hires.

When asked how they would characterize their business growth this year, 48 percent of executives reported moderate growth this year, while 17 percent noted rapid growth and 25 percent reported that their business growth was flat.  Market conditions were the biggest challenge to business growth, according to 28 percent of respondents, with regulatory and legislative issues coming in second at 22 percent. Fifteen percent of executives cited difficulty finding talented, qualified workers.

“With the constant focus across the country on jobs, Colorado business leaders are making positive progress  in growing their businesses and creating new jobs,” said Stephanie Klein, president of Experience Factor.
